Yet again, the human race has disappointed me.
It’s incredible that people can see a picture of a person who self-harms and respond with such negativity. I don’t know this girl; I don’t know what she’s been through. What I do know is that she’s needs all the love and support people have to offer in order for her to get better.
I saw her post to tumblr, it had over 50,000 notes, look at the difference here.
The fb comments make me physically ill. Who are you to deny the strength she had to be who she is and to be confident just because you don’t like what you see? All that matters is that she herself likes what she sees and that should be the end of it. Don’t frown upon her confidence and happiness and boldness to embrace herself, hope that you can do the same and be yourself for you, not someone else for anyone else. She has graced you with sharing this important moment, and you should be proud to witness this moment of her life.
